Voter registration deadline
Monday, October 5, 2026Online applications at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov are accepted until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, and paper applications must be delivered by close of business or postmarked by this date.
Saturday, October 24 to Saturday, October 31, 2026Some counties add early voting days from Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23 or on Sunday, November 1. Sites and hours vary by county.
Thursday, October 22, 2026, 5 p.m.Your county Supervisor of Elections must receive the request by 5 p.m. Requests must be renewed each election cycle, so check that yours is still active.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Local time: most of Florida is on Eastern time, and the Panhandle west of the Apalachicola River is on Central time. Anyone in line at 7 p.m. can still vote.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7 p.m.Your ballot must be received by your county Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. local time, regardless of postmark. You cannot drop off a mail ballot at an Election Day polling place.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
